About Stephanie

Stephanie Dickson is a social justice lawyer who joined PooranLaw in August 2019 to lead its specialized legal services in southwestern Ontario. Her practice covers disability law and decision-making rights, wills, estates and trusts, consent and capacity, social benefits, and not-for-profit corporate governance, and she manages the firm's pro bono I Decide Law Program, helping people with intellectual disabilities advocate for their decision-making rights. She is a Faculty Member of the National Judicial Institute, speaking to the judiciary on consent, capacity, disability, and social benefits. Before joining PooranLaw she worked as a staff lawyer in community legal clinics in London and Windsor and as a triage lawyer for Pro Bono Ontario's Medical-Legal Partnership, and began her career in class actions at a London, Ontario law firm. She holds an LL.B./B.C.L. from McGill University and serves clients in both English and French.
