About Stéphane

Stéphane Eljarrat is a partner in Osler's National Disputes group, where he leads the firm's White-Collar Defence practice. He has been ranked Band 1 by Chambers Canada for white-collar crime and government investigations, and he works closely with Osler's Risk Management and Crisis Response team. Stéphane Eljarrat represents corporate clients and their senior leadership in criminal investigations and proceedings brought under competition, anti-corruption, and anti-money laundering legislation. He serves as the North American regional representative of the Anti-Corruption Committee of the International Bar Association. Before moving into private practice, he worked with the federal Department of Justice's RCMP Legal Services and as a federal prosecutor, and earlier with Quebec's Ministry of Public Safety and Ministry of Revenue. He is fluent in French, English, and Spanish.
