About Simon

Simon Clements practises at Stieber Berlach LLP with a focus on health-related liability. He began his career as a general commercial litigator before specializing in professional liability and health law, representing doctors, nurses, and other health professionals in medical malpractice actions, along with insured title claims, life insurance disputes, and defamation matters. Simon joined the firm in 2013 after practising with a national firm and a boutique litigation firm in Toronto, and has conducted jury and non-jury trials before all levels of Ontario courts, the Federal Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada. He also appears before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario's discipline committees. Simon taught Trial Advocacy at the University of Toronto Law School from 1997 to 2022 and has been recognized in the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory for medical negligence since 2015. He earned his LLB from the University of Toronto and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1992.
