Family LawRenée Nichols was called to the Manitoba Bar in 1994. She is trained in collaborative family law, mediation, arbitration, and non-evaluative child interviewing, and is a member of Collaborative Practice Manitoba, the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Manitoba/Canada, and the Family Arbitration Mediation Legal Institute. Her out-of-court practice focuses on settlement work, including collaborative practice and mediation, which lets families keep control of the process and the matter private while still receiving legal advice and advocacy. She practices in all aspects of family law, including cohabitation and pre-nuptial agreements, adoption, guardianship, divorce, separation, breakdown of common-law relationships, custody, child support, and property division. She sits on the Manitoba Soccer Association's Discipline Committee and is a board member with ADRIM.
