Civil Litigation & Dispute ResolutionDale is the senior lawyer at Knisely Law and has practised almost exclusively in criminal law since being admitted to the Law Society of Alberta on July 30, 1985. He graduated from the University of Alberta Faculty of Law in 1984. Over more than 30 years of practice he has represented individuals charged with virtually every offence in the Criminal Code and related statutes, from minor to major, including some of the most complex cases in Alberta, and has appeared at every level of court in Canada, including the Court of Appeal of Alberta, the Federal Court of Canada, and the Supreme Court of Canada, as well as defending cases across Western Canada. He also maintains a civil litigation practice. He has been a member of the Criminal Trial Lawyers Association since his admission to the bar, serving several terms on its Executive Committee and as past chair of its Seminar Committee, organizing seminars for practitioners often in conjunction with the Legal Education Society of Alberta, for whom he has also taught courses to articling students. He is routinely consulted by members of the bar in Alberta and other jurisdictions for opinions on criminal law, and has provided pro bono legal advice as a volunteer for the Edmonton Community Legal Centre.
