About Shawn
Shawn serves as Blaney McMurtry's Managing Partner and focuses his practice on commercial real estate and commercial leasing. He has worked on many of Ontario's major real estate projects, acting for local, national, and international developers, investors, lenders, retailers, and lessees, and drafts and negotiates complex purchase agreements, development agreements, loan agreements, and leases. His deals include the sale of a shopping centre portfolio for $1.5 billion, financing arrangements of $186 million for a downtown Toronto condo project, and a $75 million loan for a data centre near the distillery district. Shawn holds an LL.B. and M.B.A. from McGill University, earned in 2000, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2002.
