About Leanne
Leanne Rutley practises real estate, estate planning, and business law at Kidston Helm Ross and brings more than 37 years in the legal profession. She focuses her practice on real estate, estate planning, and business law, and is known for explaining complex legal concepts in an accessible way that helps clients make informed decisions. Rutley received her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Manitoba in 1987 after completing an undergraduate degree in criminology and psychology at the same school. She began her career with McJannet Weinberg Rich in Winnipeg, then practiced five years with Connell Lightbody in Vancouver, about eight years in Kelowna, and 22 years with Nixon Wenger before moving her practice to Kidston Helm Ross LLP in April 2025. She has served on the boards of Community Futures and the Colour Me Canine Rescue Society, and is a past member of the Tri-Lakes Rotary Club and Vernon Women in Business.
