About Sean
Sean Stidwill's practice centers on corporate restructuring, secured lending, distressed acquisitions and divestitures, and enforcing rights between debtors and creditors, including liquidation and bankruptcy proceedings. He acts for debtor companies, purchasers, lenders and court officers in national and cross-border insolvency matters. Sean articled at Osler in 2016 before joining its Insolvency & Restructuring Group, later practising at another major firm before returning to Osler in 2024. He holds a law degree with Cum Laude honours from the University of Ottawa and a commerce degree with a finance focus from McGill University's Desautels Faculty of Management. Best Lawyers has recognized him as a rising professional in insolvency and financial restructuring.
