Scott Turner is the principal of Turner & Co. and a civil litigator with more than 30 years of experience. He was first called to the bar of New York State in 1988, while an associate at a large New York law firm, and later moved his practice to Vancouver. His practice covers a wide range of matters, including contract disputes, insolvency-related litigation, creditors' remedies, shareholders' disputes, estates litigation, insurance litigation, products liability, and professional responsibility. He has appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia, the Federal Court, and the Supreme Court of Canada, as well as before administrative boards, tribunals, and arbitration panels, and has also acted as a mediator and arbitrator in commercial matters. Scott completed the National Program at McGill University, receiving his B.C.L. and LL.B. in 1987. He practiced corporate and commercial litigation in New York City from 1987 to 1991, then joined a large Canadian firm in Vancouver, becoming a partner in 1995. In 2006 he joined what became Burns Fitzpatrick LLP, where he was a partner for more than 15 years before founding Turner & Co.
