About Savvas
Savvas Kotsopoulos concentrates his practice on commercial real estate, covering the full range of property transactions such as acquisitions, dispositions, project development, joint-venture structuring, and leasing, along with counsel to owners and managers on operating and managing their real estate portfolios. He frequently acts for institutional owners and developers, along with domestic and foreign private investment groups and asset managers, across office, industrial, retail, multi-family, hotel, seniors' housing, and mixed-use properties. Savvas also has a well-developed commercial leasing practice, acting for both landlords and tenants in complex lease negotiations, and has built particular experience helping domestic and international retailers set up and grow their operations in Canada. He joined Osler in 2021 after several years leading the retail and real estate transactions groups at another major national law firm.
