About Sarah

Fitzgerald was called to the bar in Newfoundland and Labrador in 2014. She received her law degree from Dalhousie Law School in 2013 and her undergraduate degree in English Language and Literature from Memorial University in 2010. Her litigation-focused practice covers insurance defence, family law, personal injury, and employment law, and she has acted on behalf of the province's Consumer Advocate. She has appeared before all levels of court in Newfoundland and Labrador and has made successful submissions to the Supreme Court of Canada. She currently sits on the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador's Education Committee and is a member of the Public Legal Information Association of NL. She also provides legal services in conjunction with The Journey Project, which supports people who have experienced sexual violence or intimate partner violence.
