About Sandra

Sandra Kovacs practises personal injury law from KazLaw's Vancouver and Surrey offices and teaches Law 435: Personal Injury Law at the UBC Allard School of Law alongside Marc Kazimirski. She is a past president of the Vancouver Bar Association and the Lawyers' Inn Society, and advocates for mental health and addiction awareness. Before joining the plaintiffs' bar in 2016, she spent over a decade in insurance defence roles covering aviation, occupier's liability, sexual misconduct, and medical malpractice; since 2016 she has focused exclusively on complex personal injury claims involving historical sexual assault, traumatic brain injuries, addiction, orthopedic injuries, and chronic pain. She is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia, the Law Society of the Yukon, and the Trial Lawyers Association of BC, and was named a Leading Practitioner in Aviation by the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory in 2016 and a 'Litigation Lawyer to Watch' by the Lexpert Guide in 2012.
