About Samarah

Samarah Arafat obtained her LL.B. cum laude from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law in 2021. During law school she worked as a caseworker at the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic's Criminal Division, appearing regularly in remand court, Indigenous Persons Court, and bail court, and completed a placement at a boutique Ottawa criminal defence firm. She joined Jewitt McLuckie & Associates as an associate in 2022 upon completing her articles with the firm, and is a semi-finalist of the Nelligan O'Brien Payne Moot Competition.
