About Sam
Sam Patel practices business law at the firm, drawing on more than ten years of experience in Ontario. The work covers incorporations and partnership registrations, the purchase and sale of businesses across sectors like retail, manufacturing, restaurants, pharmacies and dental and medical clinics, corporate reorganizations and governance, and drafting shareholder, partnership and joint venture agreements. Sam also handles commercial leasing for landlords and tenants and negotiates a wide range of commercial contracts, including service agreements, licensing deals and independent contractor agreements, having begun practicing law in 2016 after being called to the Ontario bar. Sam earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa Law School in 2015 and a B.A. with honours in political science from the University of Toronto, and is fluent in English, Hindi and Gujarati.
