About Sam

Sam Maroney holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria (2018) and a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction from the University of Alberta (2014). He was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2020 and appears regularly in the Provincial and Supreme Courts of British Columbia on divorce, separation, child and spousal support, parenting issues, property division, family violence, relocation, and Ministry of Children and Family Development matters. He earned his Q. Arb designation in 2020 and became an Accredited Family Law Mediator in 2025. He articled at Woodward & Company (2018–2019), focusing on Aboriginal Law, and earlier articled at the Rise Women's Legal Centre in 2017, assisting low-income women.
