About Sabina
Sabina Mexis focuses her practice on tax law, advising individuals, corporations, trusts, not-for-profit organizations, and charities on income tax and GST/HST matters. She helps clients structure and implement tax planning strategies and resolves disputes with the Canada Revenue Agency. Her trusts and estates work includes setting up family trusts, alter ego and joint partner trusts, qualified disability trusts, and trusts holding US real estate, with particular attention to complex planning for high net worth clients. Sabina takes a multidisciplinary approach that weighs family law issues, cross-border considerations, and charitable giving alongside tax strategy. She also advises on stock option plans and executive compensation structures. Sabina was called to the bar in 2000 and holds degrees from York University, McMaster University, and the University of Windsor's law school.
