Barata represented an intervenor group opposing the Grassy Mountain coal mine project before a federal-provincial Joint Review Panel and was lead counsel in Terrigno v. Litzius (2019 ABCA 100). Barata advises clients on formal and informal dispute resolution, and on domestic agreements including separation, prenuptial, and cohabitation agreements. Called to the Alberta Bar in 2014, Barata received the Carswell Entrance Scholarship at Western Law.
