About Roland-Yves

Roland-Yves Gagné has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 1981 and has been a partner at Gagné Tobolewski since 1989. He holds a civil law degree from Université de Sherbrooke, a Master of Laws and a Doctor of Civil Law from McGill University, and certificates from Dalhousie University and the Hague Academy of International Law. Gagné is an accredited arbitrator with the Canadian Commercial Arbitration Centre (CCAC) and the Société pour la résolution des conflits (SORECONI), and is accredited under Quebec's new-home warranty plan. He has worked as a contract legal expert on missions for a specialized United Nations agency in Laos, Rwanda, Botswana, Haiti, Djibouti, Chad, Cameroon, the Central African Republic, Congo (Brazzaville), Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, India, Swaziland, Indonesia, and Bangladesh. He lectures at the Universities of Montreal and McGill, the École du Barreau, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Court of Quebec on corporate law, civil law, transportation law, and negotiation, chaired a European country's chamber of commerce in Canada from 1995 to 1999, and has written on air travel law.
