About Robert
Robert McQueen has focused on family law since 2000, after earning an Honours B.A. in history from York University in 1992 and an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2000. His practice covers dependants' relief claims under Ontario's Succession Law Reform Act, Hague Convention applications and defences, and disputes involving custody, family property, divorce, and cross-jurisdictional access. He has appeared before the Court of Appeal for Ontario, the Divisional Court, the Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Justice, and several tribunals, and has conducted trials and appeals under the Family Law Act, the Children's Law Reform Act, and the Child and Family Services Act. With more than thirty reported decisions, including cases cited in the Ontario Family Practice and the Ontario Annual Practice, he brings decades of family law experience to MacLean Law. He is often quoted in the media on family law issues.
