About Sunny

Sunny Lu is a lawyer with the British Columbia operations of Merchant Law Group. Lu earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary in 2019, then articled and practiced at a boutique firm in Calgary, Alberta, focusing on immigration, wills and estates, and family law. Lu's immigration work has included temporary residence applications, spousal and family sponsorships, in-Canada humanitarian and compassionate applications, refugee claims and hearings, appeals to the Immigration Appeal Division, the Refugee Appeal Division and the Federal Court, and citizenship applications. Lu also presents public legal education workshops with organizations in British Columbia and Alberta.
