About Robert

Rob Margolis practises maritime law and international trade out of League and Williams' Vancouver office, handling cargo claims, personal injuries, marine insurance, salvage, collisions, tug and tow matters, charterparties, and wage claims by masters and crew. He was called to the bar of British Columbia in 1985 and admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 1993. He holds degrees from the University of British Columbia (BA, LLB), the University of Western Ontario (MA in Economics), Oxford (BCL), and the University of London (LLM in Shipping Law), and has taught shipping law at universities in Hong Kong, Nagoya, and Singapore. He's appeared before the Supreme Court of British Columbia, the BC Court of Appeal, and the Federal Court of Canada.
