About Robert
Robert holds an engineering degree along with his law degree, a combination that led him into construction law. His practice spans drafting project contracts, advising on issue resolution during construction, advancing and defending claims for extra costs, delay, and impact costs, builders' lien claims, and disputes over defective equipment or design. He has represented clients in the oil and gas, construction, and development industries before all levels of Alberta court, the Supreme Court of Ontario, and the Federal Court of Canada, and has extensive mediation and arbitration experience in Alberta, British Columbia, and the United States. He was called to the Ontario bar the same year as Alberta and appointed King's Counsel in 2007.
