About Richard

Richard Steinecke co-founded Steinecke Maciura LeBlanc in 1997 and practised professional regulation law there until retiring in 2022. He is the author of "A Complete Guide to the Regulated Health Professions Act," a text updated twice yearly that courts and tribunals have cited dozens of times, even in cases outside the health professions. In 2015 he received the Regulatory Excellence award from the Council on Licensure, Enforcement and Regulation, and in 2019 he was given the Tom Marshall Award of Excellence for the Public Sector by the Ontario Bar Association. He has also spoken and written extensively on regulatory topics for organizations such as CNAR and CLEAR.
