About Richard
Richard Toews was called to the bar in British Columbia in 1985 and has practiced law for more than 35 years. He spent his first 16 years in downtown Vancouver before moving his residence to Squamish in the mid-1990s and shifting the focus of his practice there in 2001. His early career centered on civil litigation, including family law, personal injury, construction and real estate disputes, wills and estates litigation, and wrongful dismissal claims. Since the mid-1990s he has also built a solicitor's practice covering corporate and commercial work, conveyancing, and wills and estates. He has represented individual and corporate clients before the Provincial Court, the Supreme Court, and the British Columbia Court of Appeal.
