About Richard

Richard Elia opened Elia Associates in 2001, a boutique practice focused on the post-development side of condominium law, and has worked in the field for about 30 years. He holds a Master of Laws focused on Appropriate Dispute Resolution and the A.C.C.I. designation from the Canadian Condominium Institute. He contributed to condominium legislative initiatives including the Condominium Act, 1998. He earned his B.Comm. from Ryerson (1991), his LL.B. from Queen's University (1994), and his LL.M. (ADR) from Osgoode Hall Law School (2005), and was called to the Law Society of Ontario in 1996.
