About Rawi
Rawi Asghar came to Canada from Moscow at age seven and was the first in the family to attend university. Rawi graduated summa cum laude from York University in 2020 with a degree in political science and a minor in public policy, then completed a J.D. at Western University's law school in 2024. Before joining Aitken Robertson, Rawi articled at a busy criminal defence firm, working on bail hearings, Crown and judicial pre-trials, trials and appeals, and drafted several Charter applications, particularly in impaired driving cases, along with an evidentiary application for a sexual assault matter. Rawi is licensed by the Law Society of Ontario.
