About Rajani

Rajani Tiwari is a Barrister & Solicitor practising in Toronto, focusing on real estate, wills and powers of attorney, and family law. She was called to the Nepal Bar Council in 2000, ranking first among women lawyers in the country that year. Before moving to Canada, she worked as a human rights researcher, represented trafficking survivors as a pro bono lawyer with Maiti Nepal, and led legal aid and women's rights research projects with the Nepal Bar Association. In Canada, she completed the Internationally Trained Lawyer's Program at the University of Toronto in 2013 and coursework toward a Common Law LL.M. at Osgoode Hall Law School in 2014, later earning her Certification of Qualification from the Federation of Law Societies of Canada. She worked as a real estate assistant and then a law office manager at Karkee Law Firm, articled with a family and criminal law practice in Halifax, and was called to the Law Society of Ontario and the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society in 2024, rejoining Karkee Law Firm as a Barrister & Solicitor that year.
