About R.

R. Leigh Youd is a founding partner of BYLDS with more than 30 years of experience in commercial litigation, with particular emphasis on shareholder disputes, construction matters, real estate litigation, and professional insurance. He has been appointed preferred counsel by LawPro, Ontario's lawyers' insurer, for many years and has argued a number of reported decisions at both the trial and appellate levels. He was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1987 and holds a BA with very high distinction (1982) and an LLB (1985), both from the University of Toronto. He belongs to the Canadian Bar Association, the Toronto Lawyers Association, and the Advocates Society.
