About R.J.

R.J. Daniel Gilborn is a senior litigator practicing in the firm's Litigation and Insolvency and Restructuring practice groups, focusing on complex commercial litigation and insolvency matters, and has more recently developed a practice defending high net-worth individuals from actions affecting their assets. He has appeared before every level of court in Alberta as lead counsel on trials, interlocutory hearings, appeals and commercial list matters, as well as the Federal Court of Canada and the Federal Court of Appeal, and has acted as counsel on applications for leave to appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada. Before joining the firm in 2014 as an associate, he practiced for ten years at a large law firm.
