About Bjorna

Bjorna Shkurti practices primarily in immigration and refugee law, representing clients in refugee claims, removal and enforcement proceedings, pre-removal risk assessments, humanitarian and compassionate applications, sponsorships, permanent residence applications, work permit matters, and judicial review applications before the Federal Court. She appears before all divisions of the Immigration and Refugee Board and the Federal Court, and has appeared before the Court of King's Bench. She completed a clerkship at the Provincial Court of Alberta and has shadowed judges at the Court of King's Bench of Alberta, and has been featured in the Calgary Herald, CTV News, CBC News, Bloomberg, the CBA National Magazine, and Canadian Lawyer Magazine.
