About Pieter
Pieter Bakker joined Emond Harnden as an associate in 2021, after completing his articles with the firm. He practises in all areas of labour and employment law, working with federally and provincially regulated clients in the public and private sectors on matters including labour arbitration, employment standards compliance, civil litigation, collective bargaining, human rights, contracts, and privacy. Before joining Emond Harnden, he practised labour and employment law for five years at a full-service firm in the Netherlands. He holds an LL.B. and a dual LL.M. in corporate and civil law from the University of Groningen, and a Master of Laws from the University of Toronto, completed in 2020. He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, and the County of Carleton Law Association.
