About Philip
Philip joined Mills & Mills LLP in 1999 as the firm's first lawyer assigned full-time to LegalShield, then known as PrePaid Legal, when the Ontario program launched that June. He received his Bachelor of Arts in English from Victoria University at the University of Toronto and his LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1970, and he was called to the Ontario bar in 1972. He began his career in private practice in Windsor, defending insured motorists in motor vehicle litigation, before spending 25 years as a solicitor for the Corporation of the City of Hamilton, including nine months as Acting City Solicitor. At Mills & Mills, Philip advises LegalShield members on everyday legal issues such as insurance claims, contracts, housing, financial and employment matters.
