About Phil

Phil is a partner and founding member of Valent Legal, practising personal injury law and representing injury victims at every level of court in Nova Scotia. Born and raised in Halifax, he focuses on building open, accessible relationships with clients throughout their cases. He earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Saint Mary's University in 2007, a Master of Arts from Carleton University in 2008, and a Juris Doctor from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in 2013. While in law school he worked at the Dalhousie Legal Aid Service. He is a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society and the Atlantic Provinces Trial Lawyers Association, and mentors students through the Weldon Mentorship Program at the Schulich School of Law.
