About Peter

Peter Wong, KC, is counsel at Carbert Waite LLP practising exclusively in immigration law, where he has been recognized as an advocate for immigrants, corporate clients, ethnic communities and religious organizations in Calgary for over 40 years. His practice covers federal skilled worker, Canadian Experience Class, family class sponsorship, business class and provincial nomination applications, along with work and study permits, temporary resident permits and visas, and CUSMA and intra-company transfer work visas. He has appeared before the Federal Court of Canada, the Federal Court of Appeal, the Immigration and Refugee Board, the Court of King's Bench of Alberta, and the Provincial Court of Alberta. He received his King's Counsel designation in 2003 and the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Medal in 2022, and holds an LLB from Queen's University (1983).
