About Paula

Paula grew up in Dartmouth and Sackville and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Saint Mary's University before graduating from Dalhousie Law School in 1986. After an articling year focused mainly on criminal law, she moved into family law, joining a general practice firm in Sackville before co-founding Melnick Doll Condran (later MDC Law) in 1993, which practised in Bedford for nearly 33 years, with a focus on family law, real estate law, and wills and estates. She has been a member of the Canadian Bar Association since 1987 and the Real Estate Lawyers Association of Nova Scotia since 2008, and has appeared in the Nova Scotia Supreme Court (Family Division) hundreds of times.
