About Joel

Joel Reed's practice focuses on complex commercial matters, including debt financings, mergers and acquisitions, and infrastructure projects. He advises clients on credit agreements, share and asset purchase agreements, and project agreements, with particular attention to complex commercial opinions. Reed has acted as counsel on secured and unsecured lending arrangements, acquisitions of transportation and seafood businesses across Canada, the United States, and South America, and infrastructure project negotiations. He earned his LLM in Commercial Law with first-class honours from the University of Cambridge in 2010 and his LLB with distinction from the University of New Brunswick in 2009, along with a BA from UNB in 2006. He was called to the New Brunswick bar in 2011.
