About Paul

Paul Lalonde serves a large client base in the public, broader public, and private sectors, including construction industry employers, providing counsel on employee and labour relations, occupational health and safety, and workplace safety and insurance. He advises employers facing union organizing campaigns and frequently represents them in unfair labour practice complaints, certification applications, and other labour board proceedings, along with collective bargaining, strike and lockout strategy, and interest arbitration. He also advises on wrongful dismissal, employment standards, and human rights matters. Originally from Ottawa, Paul joined a management-side labour and employment boutique in Toronto after his call to the bar, then joined Emond Harnden in January 2006, becoming a partner in 2013. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Law (High Honours) from Carleton University in 1999 and his LL.B. from Queen's University in 2002, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2003. He is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Ontario Bar Association, the Canadian Bar Association, and the County of Carleton Law Association, and has served on the Board of Directors of Roger Neilson Children's Hospice since 2019.
