About Paul
International trade, investment, and government contracting form the core of Paul Conlin's practice, and he regularly appears before the Canadian International Trade Tribunal in anti-dumping, countervailing duty, safeguard, and government procurement proceedings. He advises clients on foreign investment, import and export regulation, and obligations and disputes under CETA, CUSMA, and the WTO, and was previously a partner at a large international law firm before forming Conlin Bedard. Conlin is ranked Band 1 in Chambers Global for international trade and serves as Chair of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal Advisory Committee and on Canada's roster of panelists for CUSMA disputes. He also advises clients that produce controlled goods and technology on compliance programs, customs audits, security clearances, export permits, and Canadian foreign-ownership restrictions in regulated sectors such as communications and cultural industries.
