Benjamin Bedard focuses on international trade, customs, and transportation law, advising corporations and governments on Canadian and international trade and investment matters. He regularly appears before the Canadian International Trade Tribunal in anti-dumping and countervailing duty proceedings and customs appeals, and has extensive experience in trade-related litigation before NAFTA binational panels, the Federal Court, and the Federal Court of Appeal. He is one of a small number of lawyers in private practice in Canada to have argued before a WTO dispute settlement panel, and the Government of Canada appointed him to the NAFTA Chapter 19 Trade Remedies Roster of panelists. Bedard also advises clients in the aviation and rail sectors on licensing, tariffs, leasing, interswitching, and related regulatory matters. Before forming Conlin Bedard, he was a partner at a large international law firm.
