About Patrick

Patrick J. Ducharme serves as trial counsel for Charlebois Associates, representing employers charged with regulatory or quasi-criminal offences, including matters referred by the Ministry of Labour. Ducharme was awarded the G. Arthur Martin Medal in November 2021 for a significant contribution to the criminal justice system in Canada, becoming the 33rd recipient of the award in Canada's history. Ducharme has taught over 3,000 law students in procedure and trial advocacy as a long-term law professor, authored seven books on procedure and advocacy, and is a frequent speaker for the Law Society of Ontario, the Criminal Lawyers' Association of Canada, and law schools across Ontario.
