Insurance LawPatricia has practiced civil litigation for more than 30 years, focusing on insurance litigation, including property losses, oil spills, and automobile accident claims, as well as serious personal injury and wrongful death claims and conflict of laws litigation. She's fluently bilingual, having earned a degree in translation from l'Universite du Quebec a Trois-Rivieres before attending law school at McGill University, where she co-won the Montreal and Quebec Bar Mooting Prize in 1985. She was called to the Bars of Quebec and Ontario in 1987 and joined Bell Baker in 2017; she retired from the Quebec Bar in 2015. She has extensive trial and appellate courtroom experience in both Ontario and Quebec, has taught in the law clerk program at Algonquin College, and has presented on conflicts of laws between Quebec and Ontario as well as insurance matters. She is a member of the Carleton County Law Association, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Association des juristes d'expression francaise de l'Ontario.
