Nikita Rathwell is a partner at McKercher LLP's Saskatoon office specializing in Aboriginal law. She represents First Nations clients in Federal Court matters, including election appeals, judicial review of Band Council decisions, and rights-based claims, and advises on governance and corporate matters. Before joining McKercher in 2019, she worked as Crown counsel at Ontario's Ministry of the Attorney General from 2015 to 2019. Nikita earned a Bachelor of Arts with high honours in International Studies from the University of Saskatchewan in 2010 and a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2014, was called to the Ontario bar in 2015, and volunteers with the Saskatoon SPCA.
