About Nick
Nick Patterson is an associate in DWF's Toronto office with a general commercial litigation practice. He advises clients on property disputes, cross-border litigation, enforcement of foreign judgments, bankruptcy and insolvency matters, defamation, contractual disputes, misappropriation, and oppression claims, as well as fraud litigation, asset tracing, injunctions, and internal investigations. His clients include large, privately held companies, shareholders, directors, individuals, insurers, and small business owners. Patterson's court experience spans the Superior Court of Justice in Ontario, the Court of Appeal for Ontario, and the Supreme Court of British Columbia. During law school, he took part in mooting and negotiation competitions, volunteered at a legal clinic assisting people with disabilities, and advised students and local entrepreneurs through a litigation clinic. He holds an Honours B.A. from Toronto Metropolitan University and completed a program in negotiation and dispute resolution at Harvard University. He was called to the Ontario bar in 2022.
