About Nicholas

Since 2011, Nicholas Racine's practice has focused on helping claimants resolve claims against the federal government through various class action settlements, including the Indian Residential and Day School settlements, with representation of more than a thousand claimants. Racine moved from Saskatoon to Calgary to article and was called to the bar in 2010, then returned to Saskatoon in 2011 to represent claimants in the Independent Assessment Process. Racine started Racine Law in 2015 and has represented claimants from Halifax to Vancouver Island. Racine is Metis and has a strong interest in the legal aspects of reconciliation with First Nations, Metis, and Inuit communities.
