About Neil

Neil R. MacLean practises in construction litigation, product liability, and professional liability, including professional liability insurance coverage analysis. Called to the Nova Scotia bar in 1986, he worked as a claims examiner with a professional liability insurer in Ontario before moving to BC in 1992 as Deputy Director of Insurance at the Law Society of British Columbia. He was called to the BC bar in 1995, worked in-house with an insurer, set up his own law corporation in 1998, and joined Guild Yule in 2004. MacLean is recognized by Benchmark Canada as a Local Litigation Star in Construction Law, Dispute Resolution and Product Liability, and is a Fellow of the Construction Lawyers Society of America.
