About Nathaniel
Nathaniel Lyman provides legal services in film, television and digital media, advising clients on corporate matters, production financing, copyright matters, talent negotiation, production service agreements, guild agreements, errors and omissions insurance, tax credits and other production-related issues. His clients include production companies, individual producers, animation studios, writers, directors, performers and visual artists. He was admitted to the British Columbia bar in 2013 after completing his articles at a national law firm, and graduated from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia in 2012. He obtained his B.A. from Dalhousie University and the University of King's College in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Before studying law, he worked on Canadian television series and feature films and produced several short films of his own. He is originally from Ottawa, Ontario, and is of Mohawk/Delaware ancestry of the Six Nations of the Grand River.
