About Nathan

Nathan Baines is senior counsel at Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP advising on business law, competition and anti-corruption matters, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory compliance. He spent more than 20 years in-house with Imperial Oil and its ExxonMobil affiliates, including postings in Halifax supporting offshore energy projects and in Doha, Qatar working on LNG projects. His practice today focuses on regulatory investigations, emergency response, and low carbon energy development, along with pension, benefits, and compensation matters. Nathan chairs the Calgary Chapter of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society.
