About Natasha

Natasha O'Toole is a partner at Thomas Gold Pettingill LLP whose insurance litigation practice covers municipal claims, occupiers' liability, product liability, tavern and sports and recreation liability, defamation, and the defence of professional negligence matters. She also handles subrogation and transportation work, with experience before various tribunals as well as both the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Ontario Superior Court. Recent files include representing colleges and universities against negligence, breach of contract, and defamation claims, defending engineers and other design professionals in professional liability matters, and acting for municipalities facing allegations of negligent maintenance or design. She has also defended institutions against vicarious liability claims linked to sexual abuse and harassment, along with sports and recreation clubs, taverns, and security providers facing negligence allegations. Natasha earned her J.D. from Queen's University in 2016 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2017.
