About Nadia

Nadia Liva has spent more than 30 years advocating for clients facing professional regulatory investigations, disciplinary proceedings and criminal charges. She has handled more than 60 reported matters before the Law Society Tribunal, representing licensees on issues like misappropriation, mortgage fraud and books and records complaints, and has helped numerous law students through good character investigations. Since 2018 she has regularly served as Independent Legal Counsel to Ontario's Chartered Professional Accountants, and she has also represented professionals before regulators including the Ontario College of Teachers, the College of Nurses and the College of Pharmacists. On the criminal side, she has represented individuals charged with offences ranging from domestic and sexual assault to homicide, appearing at trial and appellate levels across Ontario, including the Court of Justice, the Superior Court, the Court of Appeal, along with the Parole Board and Ontario's Review Board. She remains active with the Criminal Lawyers Association.
