About Myle
Myle is a partner at Genest Murray LLP who articled with the firm and was called to the bar in 2015. Her civil litigation practice focuses on tortious insurance defence work, including personal injury, school board liability, professional negligence and road liability claims, along with subrogation claims and duty to defend applications. She has represented numerous school boards in liability cases involving personal injury, education malpractice, bullying, assault and sexual assault, and has published several articles in Risk Management in Canadian Education on board liability topics, including a 2022 piece on school boards' responsibilities in the wake of the #MeToo movement. Since 2015 she has also co-authored materials for the annual conference of the Canadian Association for the Practical Study of Law in Education. Myle has argued motions and trials at the Small Claims Court and Ontario Superior Court of Justice and has appeared before the Court of Appeal. She holds a J.D. from the University of Toronto and a B.A. (Hons.) from McMaster University.
